Griffith Motors Co. was established by Jack Griffith in Plainview, Long Island, N.Y, in 1962 to build sports cars. The first model was ready in 1964. Griffiths were high performance, easy handling cars but a dock strike in the USA East Cost prevented the Company from receiving the bodies which were being imported from the U.K (TVR) and Italy (Intermeccanica). The company collapsed in 1967.
